ANN DURLEY

Ann has always been a collector of bits and pieces. Ann says, "After retiring from a 2nd career as an antique dealer, I have been able to combine my passions into mixed media clocks. By using odds, ends, and found objects in unexpected ways, I create clocks which are recycled, functional, and unique. For the last six years I have been producing mixed-media clocks from items she finds and collects from antique stores, flea markets and estate sales. This is one way to reuse items people throw from junk drawers, and give them another life. Each one is singular and unique."

She says she could never build the same clock twice and wouldn't even try.

ANNA MALLARD

While attending a conference in San Antonio several years ago, Anna discovered and fell in love with decorated gourds.  Gourds spanned the globe in prehistoric times and became important for their usefulness and versatility as cultures developed.  She also designs and makes hooked rugs and textiles. Anna is intrigued by the universality of ancient images and enjoys combining this interest into art.
