Inspired by the beauty surrounding us, Anne Jankowski’s oil paintings invite us to slow down and savor fleeting moments in time. Her paintings are simplified, textural and diffused interpretations of people, nature and emotions.
As Anne paints, the work becomes less about the subject matter, and more about exploiting the beauty and texture of the medium. “I love to push myself by switching between landscapes, abstracts and portraiture. In this way, I hope to keep learning and growing artistically.”
Her loose brushwork, love of color and use of light invite the viewer to share in her paintings on many
levels. Her goals are to stir a memory, evoke an emotion and capture moments which often pass by unnoticed.
An avid hiker, kayaker and traveller, Anne works on a full-time basis from her studio in Dallas, Oregon, and exhibits at River Gallery in Independence, Oregon, and Mr. Miller’s Art Emporium in Douglas, Michigan.
