Patricia Cochran has endeavored since early childhood to capture the magical essence of her world into a variety of artistic mediums. Cochran’s art has been juried into exhibitions at the Portland Art Museum, the Coos Bay Art Museum, as well as shows in Oregon and Montana. In 2005 the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America approved Patricia to paint an oil commemorating the Society's Centennial celebration. It hangs in their national office in Virginia as a permanent part of their collection.
Patricia is retired after a long career teaching high school Fine Arts and English in the Hillsboro School District. Still inspired to teach, she volunteers at St. Francis Elementary School as their art instructor. Pat lives on a small farm in the fertile Tualatin Valley in northwest Oregon. Constantly inspired by the sweeping beauty of the land, it is there that she maintains her studio and raises Section A Welsh Mountain Ponies under the Lochinvar prefix. See her ponies at:
