Alice Carter Artist

Alice Carter, a native Oregonian, has roots in Eastern Oregon but was transplanted to the Willamette Valley almost forty years ago when she attended college in Monmouth. She now calls Springfield, Oregon home. Her dual Master’s degrees in counseling and special education enable to express her passion for helping children in the Springfield School District, but her creative juices are released to flow through jewelry design and music. Art is an organic process for Alice. She starts with a basic idea and the design just flows from there. She likes to mimic the movement of water and nature in abstract designs and often finishes the silver in a warm patina. She is fussy about quality and uses only Sterling Silver chains, clasps etc. in her Fine Silver (.999) jewelry. Alice likes to add dichroic glass, cubic zirconia and natural gemstones to her silver pieces. Her fun-loving personality is reflected in her design styles, which range from simple classic to quirky to bold and beautiful.
